Tuesday 14th July,
6:30pm

Venue:

Westward Ho Golf Club Military Road West Beach

Speaker:

Keith Conlon

Keith is a retired veteran of the Adelaide media – over 45 years, he worked for four radio stations and three TV outlets. He loved it all, but his dream stint was doing 15 years hosting and reporting for Postcards on Channel 9. That's when he earned the nickname "Mr South Australia”.

Before all that, he sang his way through Uni with the harmony group the Wesley Three. He started playing jazz drums then too. And he still does, including working for Santa in the Christmas Pageant.

After decades of community involvement, he has remained busy in retirement, with roles on the Heritage Council of South Australia and the SANFL History Committee.

He is as passionate as ever about our unique stories and sharing them. If you follow him on Facebook, you will know that he posts bite-size pieces of our history every day. As well, on the weekly Wednesday Bike-ride that he has led for 12 years, there's always a story!

Last year, Keith was delighted to be declared an Honorary Fellow of the University of Adelaide and receive the Key to the City from the Lord Mayor.
